Born into the cult "Order of the Black Sun", Kade was prophesized to be the cult's magnum Dark Lord. The prophecy stated that Kade would guide the cult to a time of prosperity, power and control. However, Kade's mother didn't like the way the cult was shifting towards the dark arts and what her boy had to do. She had different plans for this unique child. She swept Kade away in the middle of the coldest night of winter and he was abandoned near a monastery. Luckily he was found by a young monk, and was immediately taken to the temple. Later, his mother was found by the cult and was slain for her crimes. The monks started to raise this baby boy and they soon realized that he was quite different. His skin was very pale, possibly from the freezing snow or possibly from something much more sinister. It is unclear whether the monk's placed the tattoos to help him survive his ordeal, or if the Order of the Black Sun tattooed him because he was the future Dark Lord. Either way, this child raised many questions within the monastery. To add to his enigmatic character, this infant didn't respond to touch. Kade could not feel any physical contact - comfort or pain. Rage. Kade's eternal enemy. Since a young boy, Kade was unable to control his anger. It would simply boil until he exploded with a blinding fury. While it has served him well in battles, it has proven to be a huge liability when a cooler head should have prevailed. Kade grew up knowing nothing of his past. He was trained by the monks in the areas of Pankration and Kali. His skills continued to develop with his age and soon his talent became known by nearby communities. His skill and populatiry would, ironically, eventually lead to his village's demise. Kade's popularity grew and the rumours whispered that Kade was the lost Lord. It didn't take long for the current Dark Lord to hear of these rumours and to act. Apollyon did not want any individual challenging his position, especially a prophesized Lord. Apollyon had conquered everything in his way to become the Dark Lord, and he was not going to let his people believe this 'pretender'. Apollyon set out to kill and humiliate Kade, making sure that he would not create a martyr. He attacked Kade's monastery and village with the intent of destroying everything... |
